EXPERIENCE IN PERFORMING COMPENSATION AUDITS

We have extensive consulting experience conducting evaluations for clients subject to audits of compensation, sometimes involving an OFCCP investigation or litigation. We conduct in-depth analyses using statistical techniques that are widely accepted by courts and by governmental agencies monitoring employment practices. In our studies of compensation we have examined base salaries, pay-at-hire, pay raises, and total compensation, including the individual components of total compensation outside of base pay, such as bonuses, awards, commissions, overtime, and the granting of stock shares and stock options.

We go to great lengths to assess the integrity of the data to be used in an analysis. Our goal is to properly model the employment decisions that determine compensation levels in an individual company or division. After our preliminary (first pass) analysis, if necessary we perform several diagnostic procedures to focus in on possible reasons for pay differences attributable to demographic characteristics. These may assist in (1) identifying improperly coded data or poorly specified factors in the regression analysis, (2) identifying problem jobs or departments that appear to have large concentrations of disparate impacts, and (3) identifying the source of any existing pay disparities.

DATA MANAGEMENT AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Our experience also covers many of the aspects of employment that are subject to potential adverse selection impacts, such as hiring, promotions, terminations, training, performance evaluations, etc. We can provide custom statistical assessments of these practices in your company, either for internal information or for analyses relating to litigation. Additionally, we can help you manage the data in your human resource information system. Our staff will assist you in making any necessary preparations to format your data for use with PayEval or compile varied data sources so they can be assimilated for use in litigation or audits.
